Khuda Buksh (1 February 1912 – 13 May 1974) was a legendary humanitarian and the pioneer of the insurance industry in Bangladesh — the "Father of Insurance" (বীমার জনক). This library, its foundation, and this digital platform were built by his devoted sons in his loving memory — a heartfelt tribute to the inspirational figure whose lifelong love of learning continues to guide every child of Damudya and beyond.

Passed the Entrance Examination in 1929 from the Symacharan Edward Institution in Koneshar — a village near his native Damodya — in the First Division, with a distinction (letter mark) in Mathematics.

Presented on 18 February 1965 by the Field Force Lahore Zone as a token of unbounded reverence for his pioneering contributions to the insurance sector and humanitarian services. The artifact features an exquisite miniature replica of the Shalimar Gardens topped with an engraved sterling silver scroll.

Welcome to Khuda Buksh Memorial Library (KBML) — a premier digital and physical learning hub located at Kaneshwar, Damudya Upazila, Shariatpur District, near Kaneshwar Shama Charan Edward Institution. Established in 2022 to preserve the legacy and values of our respected founder, Khuda Buksh, the library stands as a beacon of knowledge, culture, and community growth in the region.

From serving local students preparing for critical examinations (such as ICT, Logic, History, and Economics) to providing general readers with a diverse collection of books, KBML offers free, open access with no barriers. Beyond literature, the library serves as a vibrant social anchor, organizing essential community programs and supporting local youth and cultural initiatives across Damudya.
